Easy NO-SEW Summer SHIRT Craft

Here is an easy NO-SEW T-shirt CRAFT for you and your daughters.  Inspired by my oldest daughter who first saw it on PINTEREST.  I tweaked the idea for my
youngest daughter and her friends.

We bought T-shirts from the SALE rack at RUE 21--only paid $3.00 and $5.00.  Any T-shirt will work.  I like the umbrella shaped T's.  The cute designs at RUE made the little girls squeal with delight.  Use a bigger size T-shirt.

HOW TO MAKE A
NO-SEW FRINGE
T-SHIRT?

Make fringe by cutting into the fabric on the bottom of the T-shirt and the shoulders.  You are going to tie the front piece to the back piece, just like tieing a double-sided fleeceblanket.

Be careful where you cut on the shoulders so you don't seperate the two pieces of fabric in the wrong place.  (I did that and had to fix it.)  You can also fringe the sides depending on the style you want.  It's just like tieing FLEECE blankets.  Easy peesy as pie!!!!
REPURPOSE an old T-shirt in your closet. Find a shirt on a SALE rack.  Buy a bigger size (even 2 sizes) bigger than you usually wear.  The ties will make it smaller.

YOUNG WOMEN'S ACTIVITY:  Turn the NO-sew T-shirt activity into a Value Challenge. Teach about being frugal, reusing, repurposing, and recyling.  Then have fun making the T-SHIRTS and decorating them.  T-DYE would be a blast!
