I live life in layers, thus the title of my blog SPUMONI. I'm a wife of 22 years and mother of three daughters and one son. I hope you will check out my books: Women of Virtue (2009), A Royal Guardian (2013), and Precious in His Sight--Seeing yourself as God sees you (2013).
Because I'm part Italian, I talk fast and constantly with my hands. I adore chocolate more than I should and believe that it's no crime to leave dishes in the sink at night if you have something really good you want to read or write about. No idea is original. No thought is birthed in a vacuum. We are all products of one another's creativity. And that is what I love about blogging. I have probably visited your blog, your sister's blog, or someone's that you know and have taken that idea and turned it into something I could use in my daily life; whether it be my family, my books, or the classes I teach at House of Hope. When all those gifts and talents come together-- wallah! You get SPUMONI! And, oh, does it taste delicious!
I conduct motivational workshops to improve self-worth to young women and women's groups, community groups, and teach regularly at a substance abuse treatment center called House of Hope and more recently The Utah House for teens, in Salt lake City.
I didn't set out to write books, but years ago my dear friend, Holly, prompted me to share my ideas and, well, one thing lead to another. Now, my third book was just published with Covenant Communications, in August 2013. And I'm working on my fourth.
I know if we could go to lunch, or sit down and talk about life, we'd find things in common. That we are dedicated to our families, our faith, and that when we fall short we get up, dust ourselves off, and try again--to become better. To become the women we were meant to be.
